For anyone that doesn't know good ways to spot a scam on ebay: 1) If the price is too good to be true and/or the seller requires any bidder to be put on a pre approved bidding list, it is probably a scam. 2)they will usually say that they are overseas and that shipping for the car is free or included in the price. 3)These sellers will use ebay's square trade motors as an esgrow service. They will tell you to wire the money through a local bank, where it will be given to a representative of square trade who will send the money to the seller only after you've received the item and are happy with it. Square trade DOES NOT OFFER THAT SERVICE! If a seller is asking for you to wire the money through a bank, don't do it. Get the square trade number from ebay and call them. The sellers emails will look legitimate. Usually they have the square trade emblem with their name on it, but it has been photoshopped. My dad and I went over one with a fine toothed comb. Everything checked out but we found that it was a scam by calling square trade and having them check out the auction. These are all the things that should have been red flags for us. So, be careful i guess. Oh yeah, for extra fun, when you find out for sure if they are a scammer or not, tell them you will find them and kill them in the most inhumane way possible. It's really fun.
